THE FRAMEWORK

The Ownership Operating System

Ten principles. Each one built on the one beneath it. Together they build the agency to create your life rather than react to it.

The Ownership Operating System pyramid: ten principles from The Core Declaration at the base to Living as an Owner at the apex

Each principle carries a Personal Tool used inside the coaching engagement. Together they build one thing: the agency to create your life rather than react to it.

Ownership is not a category of your life. It shows up in all of them.

The principles do not change depending on the area. What changes is where the gap is costing you most. These are the places clients most often arrive.

  • Health and Body

You know exactly what to do. You have known for years. What is missing is not information, it is a standard that holds when you are tired, traveling or under pressure.

  • Relationships

The same conversation keeps happening. The distance keeps growing. The pattern is not simply about the other person or even the dynamic between you. It is the result of a set of behaviors that no one has yet examined honestly.

  • Career and Purpose

You have built something competent and you are quietly certain it is not the thing. That gap is not a crisis. It is information you have been avoiding acting on.

  • Finance and Wealth

Your financial outcome is not a circumstance. It is a pattern, and every pattern is made of repeated decisions. We work on the decisions, not the spreadsheet.

  • Identity

Every strategy you adopt eventually gets pulled back toward who you still believe yourself to be. Until that changes, the next plan will end like the last one.

  • Inner Dialogue and Mindset

The sentence you keep saying about yourself is not a description. It is a set of instructions, and your behavior has been following them faithfully.

  • Time

"I do not have time" is almost never true. What is true is that other people's priorities have been given permanent authority over your calendar. That is a decision, and it can be made differently.

  • Soul

Beneath the goals and the metrics is a quieter question about what any of this is actually for. Most people never get a structured place to ask it. This is that place.

Ownership is the operating system. Agency is the outcome.

Most coaching is built to get you to an outcome. We develop your capacity to create outcomes consistently.

You may come to us with a goal. A business to build. A relationship to change. A career move to make. A marathon to run.

We work toward that outcome and the operating system underneath it: your thoughts, emotions, decisions, standards, identity and actions.

The ten principles group into six phases of the coaching engagement

  1. 1AWARENESS
  2. 2RESPONSIBILITY
  3. 3DISCIPLINE
  4. 4IDENTITY
  5. 5DESIGN
  6. 6SUSTAINED OWNERSHIP

Coaching moves you through six phases, from seeing what is driving your outcomes to building the capacity to sustain new ones.

The goal is not just to run the marathon. It is to become the person who knows how to run it again.

What you build through coaching stays with you. You know how to own what comes next.

Alyssa Rocco, M.A.

President, TJT Life Division and TJT University

Alyssa brings nearly twenty years across coaching, organizational psychology, leadership development and business transformation. She leads the TJT life coaching practice and oversees the training and certification of coaches in the TJT methodology.

She began her career in biotechnology, spending nearly a decade in quality assurance and contributing to the launch of breakthrough medicines for cystic fibrosis and hepatitis C. Navigating change inside complex organizations drew her toward the human dynamics behind performance, and she went on to earn a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology, spend eight years with an international coaching organization, and found her own practice in 2020.

She has coached executives, entrepreneurs and individuals through significant periods of growth, and has designed and led coaching programs at MIT, Columbia University and for teens at a New York charter school. Her approach integrates organizational psychology, behavior change and systems thinking.

Her own path through recovery, reinvention and motherhood shaped how she understands sustainable change. Knowing what to do was never the hard part. Building the operating system to live differently was.

She believes lasting transformation happens when people move beyond achieving a single outcome and build the internal capacity to create the outcomes that matter most, again and again.

Alyssa leads a team of experienced TJT coaches, each trained and certified in the Ownership Operating System. You will be matched with the coach who fits what you are working on.

Everything in your life is yours.

Not everything is your fault. But everything is yours to respond to, yours to shape and yours to govern. The only question left is whether you are ready to operate that way.

Every call is with a TJT coach. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you.
